what to buy, oh what to buy

tis

It’s the holiday season my friends! For most of you anyway.

Some of you might have braved the crowds and headed out over the holiday weekend for the sales, or perhaps your like me, and go the easier route. Online shopping!

With having a new baby, and a toddler under foot, going out and shopping isn’t a very enjoyable experience anymore. Shopping at my fingertips is truthfully 90% of what my holiday buying consisted of this year. What else do I have to do at 2 in the morning when I’m rocking a baby to sleep?

I present to you my gift guide. I was all about the small business sensation this year.

Grace & Salt

This couple have an amazing story and adopted a baby boy this year. They bring him home shortly and purchases from their shop will help them with adoption fees. I’m in love with so many of their pieces and there is a price range for everyone. I bought a few prints to frame and gift to a few new moms this year.

Sevenly

I’ve done a post about this site before and I have ordered from them several times.  Each purchase gives money to a charity and their delivery time is speedy. The quality is great and you can find something with just about any budget you have.

The Minted Exchange

Have a special lady in your life? Whether it’s your sister, your friend, co worker or lover, this shop has amazing clothes! What I love is they continually have a selection of new arrivals. Their product selection is limited and majority of their pieces are only listed for a limited amount of time, which means not every Joe, Nick and Betty will be wearing your shirt at the same time. They have a mailing list and have been doing amazing sales lately. I loaded my friend up with some killer clothes and all of them were 50% off. Score! All of my orders with them have shown up lickety split as well. What’s better than that?!

Brickyard Buffalo, PS I Adore You and To Adorn

Enter the land of killer deals. Each of these sites are a weekly collection of items that are anywhere from 50-80% off. I am currently on all 3 lists and have ordered time and time again from all of them. Items range from home decor to clothing. Kids toys to makeup. You can find something most likely for just about anyone on your holiday list.

Fresh Bibs, Birchbox, Nature Box and Happy Mail

You can get a monthly subscription for just about anything these days, and it’s the coolest thing since sliced bread. Majority of them are easy on your bank account and in my opinion make for fantastic gifts. Have a friend that’s expecting or has a little one at home? Fresh Bibs sends you a new bib each month so your little one can drool in fashion! You can choose from girl, boy or unisex. I signed up and within a week had my first box! The packaging was adorable, and the bib is reversible! So it’s really two for one.

Birchbox has a monthly box for the man or the lady in your life and I can’t begin to explain how obsessed I am with Birchbox. It is quite possibly the very best $10 a month I’ve ever spent.

Know a foodie? Nature box sends you delicious goodies to your front door, Each month you get a collection of snacks that you choose from. My sister in law is a subscriber and lucky for me she shares! She is sure to always pass on the Vanilla Granola since it’s my very favorite!

I’ve told you before about my uber favorite blog to read, A Beautiful Mess. I’ve made countless recipes off their site (the Jalapeno Popper Dip is to die for) and have done so many of their craft ideas, it’s a little ridiculous actually. They now have a subscription box Happy Mail! Just released, it has a collection of cards, stationary, stamps and stickers. Even better, they are soon coming out with Messy Box, a collection of craft goodies. Shut the front door!

A small side note: Sevenly totally has a subscription box now too! Check out CauseBox

Alexandra Rose Handmade

It’s baby season around here. Our home has a new baby, we have a precious new niece, and a handful of friends and family members are expecting in the coming new year. This shop has you covered. She makes everything herself, which I feel gives it a nice personal touch. Reid has the pacifier clip, the bamboo teething ring and I’ve had my eye on the burp clothes for some time now. I love the fabric choices and how versatile the patterns are. It makes it easy for those crazy ladies out there who aren’t finding out the gender of their wee babe!

Those are just a few of my go to’s this year. Hayden and I did a few projects together so she could have special gifts to give out herself and as always I’ll be doing plenty of baking and delivering goodies, my favorite part of the holiday season!  Happy holidays to you all!

  1. I love these ideas and have used a couple myself. I love finding new websites to shop or just browse and you came up with some fantastic ones to use all year round! 🙂
